The kinda game you can play and fall asleep to comfortably. It always gives me a wholesome feeling, and I tend to play it when I'm sad or feel lonely :). It's a simple enough concept of a game. Four people go about their lives for 6 weeks, visiting up to 8 locations and choosing one of two actions at the location they choose. Each choice will provide a bonus to the character's stats, and there will be a secondary event. After 6 weeks, the town will be destroyed and you choose a role in order to help rebuild. That is the gameplay in its entirety. The genius of the game comes from the varied events, how those events can lead to other events, and the beautiful resolution as you're told what your character does with his/her life. Also, the music is well-thought out. I think there's only three separate songs for the six weeks, and they all use the same theme with an increase in tension as The Yawhg approaches. The final song, however, is amazing and I don't think I'll ever grow tired of hearing it. Whether it's $5 or $10, I insist that you pick this up, sit down with some friends, and live life inside of The Yahwg.. I really want to be able to recommend this game, but...it just doesn't feel like a complete game. It's short. I have, what, nearly three hours of playtime on record? I think I've played 20 or so games in that time. You have 2-4 characters, there are six turns, and for every turn, you decide what stats your character will improve. At the end of the six turns, every character picks a profession and then you see if you managed to rebuild or not after the Yawhg leaves. Pros:- Absolutely beautiful- Great music- Two male characters, two female characters, always a plus- Great for when you have a little time to kill- Most weeks you'll have an "event" happen to you, anything from deciding whether to pick up a rusted dagger to dancing with a dryad to giving sex tips to the king. These were cool (at least, the first few times...).Cons:- Repetitive. The events that pop up during the week are the same thing over and over and over and OVER and unless you happen to have the exact right stats, the results of whatever you choose don't realy differ.- Only three endings. The good, the bad, the ambiguous.- Absoutely not even remotely worth $10. It's worth like $1. - There's just not much gameplay or variation, and that means there's not much reason to play this beyond a few hours time total.. Most requested game when drinking with my friends. After 30-40 playthroughs in a row it may get tedious, but even then you can still find stuff you've never seen.. Short but meant to be played a few times me thinks and quite enjoyable. Get it on sale, price is a little high.. Never wanted a refund so bad. I'll have to read reviews more often.. What a great game. A few beers, sit around and yell about how magnificent you are. And it goes fast, so even better for drinking. What I'm trying to say is, this game is gorgeous, it sounds great, and it gets me drunk. Really good and drunk.10/10, would drink again.. Only buy this if you intend to play it as a party game with four people at least, and people have been drinking heavily and most of them don't usually play games. This could be a fun little diversion for up to even as long as half an hour if you really drag it out, but I'm not sure it's worth the money even for that much entertainment. There's nothing here for the single player - it's just too brutally short and simple. You can probably finish it inside of five minutes, and it does not take very long at all for the options to start repeating on your multiple playthroughs. There's a bit to like about it, if only there were more of it, but simply adding more weeks however, would probably expose the lack of depth. For a very similar type of gameplay with a bit more depth and much more duration, try 'Monster Loves You!'. I would recommend this game with a few caveats.First, don't pay more than a couple bucks. The content is severely limited.Second, this is not a game to play alone. The novelty will wear off very quickly. Third, this is a simple game. Expect no depth. So, with these in mind, why would I recommend this?Simply: It's a fun way to spend half an hour with a small group of friends, brought us some laughs and giggles, and was worth the couple bucks I spent. The game is essentially a "choose your adventure" in which each player is allowed to make a few decisions over the course of a session. At the end, everyone's choices create an outcome for them that's some shade of negative, neutral, or positive. Though each character's story is connected, they really only interact very loosely.Think of it as a little board game to pull off the shelf when someone brings their kids over.. Very good game, Interesting story with some random elements and alot of choises. There are so many different endings to this game that you can play through it over 30 times and still come out with a new outcome each time 5/5
